about the artist
After graduating with a BS in Graphic Design from Full Sail University, Ashley was part of the team at the Puerto Rican agency, Brain Libre. There she played with type, layout, color, and the agency dog to create campaigns, brand identities, and illustrations for more than 50+ brands across industries like medicine, food, fashion, and lifestyle. Now Ashley is a full time freelance illustrator, designer, and the creative director behind her self-titled indie brand.
Through loose, scratchy textures, and bold, diverse color palettes her illustrations keep her childhood alive well through the heavy process of aging. One thing guides her, aging is a privilege and it is not to be wasted on growing up. More than healing her inner child, she seeks to fuse her experience with wonder to create artwork that radicalizes the viewer through amusement and heals through connection.
She is constantly designing new apparel, stickers, and accessories inspired by Puerto Rican slang, streetwear, and a love for the silly pleasures of life. You can occasionally catch her buzzing around her table at pop-ups or making a matcha latte around 3pm.
